This Siyyum has been moved to Thursday, but we will still have the scheduled service, breakfast, and hametz burning on Friday. Click here to go to that event.
The “Fast of the First Born” is a fast day that falls on the day before Passover (or Thursday if Passover begins Saturday night, because we never observe this fast on Fridays). The fast is superseded by the observance (consumption) of a seudat mitzvah, an obligatory meal for a festive occasion. One festive event that prompts a seudat mitzvah is a siyyum, a completion of a section of Torah study, often of a book or a chapter of a Rabbinic text.
