Thank you for your thoughtful responses to last week's email and recording of Psalm 27:4. It is from your enthusiasm that I am inspired to send a recording each week leading up to Rosh Hashanah. These melodies will be used in our Shabbat experiences during the month of Elul, and will continue through parts of our High Holy Day season. I hope you get the chance to listen, and eventually learn and love them as much as I do.
This week's melody is the Elul Niggun by Eitan Katz. Listen to my version of it below, and if you are interested in seeing the artist himself, check out this video!
Elul Art Project During Elul, the month of reflection and contemplation, we have the special opportunity this year to create a collaborative art project. At both Grove Avenue and Parham Road, we will have a basket of leaves and markers so that you can write either a 'wish for the new year' or something that you may want to 'leave behind' this year. We hope you will participate in this exciting project.
If you are unable to make it to either location before Rosh Hashanah, you can use this page at home to create your own leaves with your families!
